24 Heures Chrono.  Yeah so I was flipping through the channels on TV the other day and noticed that they’ve francophonized the TV show 24 by calling it “24 Heures Chrono”.  What the heck is up with that?  Did the “Language Police” deem the number 24 as not french enough?

Now that the election is over, we can now focus on more important things.  Specifically, Drew Barrymore’s breasts.  And for the women, direct your attention to this site.

Dawna Wins A Yawner December 22, 2005

Well Dawna became Martha’s Apprentice last night, walking away with a new car, a $250,000 a year salary and a job working on Martha’s new magazine, Body and Soul (?).  Not much more to comment on the show other than to say that it was a boring finale and I’m not at all disappointed that there won’t be a second season.  The best part of the night was probably the exchange between Martha and Alexis.  Acting like the daughter that couldn’t get a mother’s attention, Alexis lashed out at Martha, asking whether or not she was listening to her or checking her e-mail.  Quite amusing.  Oh and it would have been nice to have seen Jim’s wife and kids seeing how much Martha said how beautiful they were.

I’m sure this is the first of many.

SYS-CON Media (www.sys-con.com) announced today that it plans to offer the top job at SYS-CON Events, Inc., the company’s fully owned subsidiary that produces leading i-technology conferences and trade shows, to Ms. Rebecca Jarvis.

SYS-CON’s offer to Ms. Jarvis will be to run the events division of the company as president and CEO with an annual salary of $150,000. Part of the job responsibilities of the president and CEO position, which is currently open, will include the launch of three international conferences in 2006: iTVcon – Internet TV Conference & Expo (www.itvcon.com), SOA Web Services Edge Conference & Expo, and Enterprise Open Source Conference & Expo.

A Sour Finale December 16, 2005

I had a really bad taste in my mouth this morning from last night’s Apprentice finale.  What looked like the makings of a double hiring turned out to be the most heinous display of selfishness and utter arrogance.  Going into the finale last night, I really didn’t care who would win because I thought either one of the two would have made a great Apprentice.  But now, it just seems so wrong that Randal won.  And it’s all because he couldn’t share the spotlight with someone who was equally as worthy to have it shone upon her.

Overall, it was a good show but I’m sure a lot of people are up in arms about the ending.  Although she didn’t become Donald’s apprentice, I am quite sure Rebecca is now receiving tons of offers from other companies willing to take her on.  Perhaps Trump will quietly hire her for his company.  Not more I can say about the show.  On to season five now.

Is It Over Yet? December 15, 2005

Martha’s version of the Apprentice hasn’t inspired me to write a review of the show the entire season so I’m not going to start now.  But go check out MSNBC’s rundown of what took place last night here.  I’m anxious to see who will win next week but not to the level of excitement and anticipation as Trump’s finale tonight.  I’m going to stick with my prediction that Dawna will win, simply based on the fact that Bethenny looks like she’s going to crash and burn and that her event might not actually happen.  But we’ll see I guess.  Also for you guys that missed the show last night, we got to see some gratuitous side shots of Carrie’s breasts which I was way too enthusiastic about.  You can ask Carley about that.

The movie based on the best selling novel will hit theatres in May 2006.  Check out the first full length trailer here.  It looks really well done and you know it will be a good movie because Tom Hanks and Ron Howard are involved.  Also check out the new Mission Impossible 3 trailer here.  That movie looks wickedly good too.
