Who better to battle the corrupt Liberals than the guy who blew the whistle on them.

The Conservatives have enlisted the former civil servant who first objected to the procurement practices that grew into the sponsorship scandal to be a candidate in the coming federal election.

Allan Cutler was being introduced to the Conservative caucus Wednesday morning. He is expected to run in Ottawa South against Liberal incumbent David McGuinty, the brother of Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty.

Cutler is considered a hero to many Canadians.  The Libs are going to have a hard time trying to villify this guy.  A very good candidate for the Conservatives.

He’s in a tough riding, but if people really get who he is, he should be able to get in. Hard to find anyone else, particularly in the federal bureaucracy, with that kind of integrity.

Agreed. Although it would be a major blow to the Libs if Sheila Fraser decided to become a politician and run for the Conservatives. I wonder if there has been any talk of that within the party to see if they can woo her. The only negative is that we would be losing a great auditor.
